The Vine Hall Special Project Concert: Caity Gyorgy & Maria Kim [Jeonju]

About this concert

[Concert Introduction] Caity Gyorgy, a three-time JUNO Awards winner from Canada, and Maria Kim, a Korean Music Award winner, two world-class jazz vocalists, are coming to Korea. The highlight of this performance is not just meeting famous artists on one stage. While Maria Kim showcases delicate and lyrical music with piano and vocals, Caity Gyorgy presents vocals and improvisation based on the energy of swing and bebop, harmoniously intertwining two different musical colors on one stage. Although their musical backgrounds and expressions differ, both artists share the commonality of having created their own contemporary musical language based on the tradition of jazz. This performance, a collaboration between Caity Gyorgy, a master of live performance who has captivated jazz fans worldwide by reinterpreting the essence of traditional jazz in a modern way, and Maria Kim, an emotional jazz vocalist praised by critics at home and abroad for her sophisticated sensibility and deep tone, captivating Asia, will be a very special gift.
